Join Me on Irys, A Space Where Photography Comes First
I’ve been trying out Irys (https://www.irysphotos.com/), a new photography community built by photographers, for photographers. It was created by Alan Schaller, a fellow photographer whose work I’ve admired for years. What I really like about it is that it feels like a space designed with photographers in mind, not advertisers or algorithms.
For me, photography has always been about sharing stories, connecting with others, and being inspired by how different people see the world. Platforms often get in the way of that, but Irys puts the focus back where it belongs — on the images and the creators.
Why I Like It
• High-quality uploads (up to 30 MB, soon 50 MB) so your photos can be seen properly
• You keep full ownership of your images
• Privacy-minded: no selling data, no forced feed
• Works on iOS and Android, free to join
If you’re into photography, I’d love to connect with you there.
