Fred Ranger

Fred Ranger is a Montreal-based photographer and filmmaker. Street photography first, then travel, then whatever the story needs — the throughline isn’t a genre, it’s paying attention to moments other people walk past.

He shoots Leica, mostly, though the gear is never the point. Fred’s work has appeared in Street Photo Mag, Fujilove, and Leica Fotografie International, and been exhibited at the Quebec Delegation offices in Mexico and the Leica Boutique in Montréal. He hosts The Visual Storytelling Podcast, where he talks with photographers and creators about the decisions behind the image, not just the gear that made it. And on YouTube, he breaks down what actually changes how you shoot — not spec sheets, but the feel of a lens or a camera in your hand.

He works with brands and clients the same way he shoots: honestly. If something doesn’t work, he says so.
