My work has been selected to be featured in Bicentenary Act II Digital, an exhibition celebrating 200 years of photography, organized by the Paris International Street Photo Awards. It takes place November 13 to 15, 2026, at Galerie Joseph Minimes.
How it got there
I shot the image in 2022. In 2025 it received an Honorable Mention in the Street Poetry / Essay category at the Paris International Street Photo Awards. The art direction then included it in the exhibition shortlist, alongside dozens of other photographers.
The photograph
Brooklyn, 2022.
I made this photograph on the streets of Brooklyn. It was one of those moments that feels outside of time. The scene looked like a painting. Nothing about it was staged, and nothing needed to be. I saw it, and I pressed the shutter.
That is the poetry of the street: it shows up in plain view, in a city that never slows down enough to notice it.
Why Paris
Paris is my favorite city for photography. I still can’t quite believe my work will hang there.
The timing adds something. The earliest surviving photograph, made by Nicéphore Niépce around 1826, was taken from a window. Two hundred years later, a photograph with a window in its title hangs in Paris. I did not plan that connection. I am happy to claim it.
